When you’re living the life up here,
Verging on the BC wilderness all around,
You come to rely on the small rewards.
A deliciously popped beer,
Fizzing & foaming.
Gurgling down your throat at the end of a long, hot, winding day.
There is no order to this listing of fine beers.
Indulge according to whim.
The best beers ever sampled in these hills.
Better even than a big gold find.
Beer has never been better at Red Mountain.
And long may it reign beer.
But the king of beers is not
necessarily the most popular one.
The King of Beers drinks only the BEST beers.
That man is at the Rams Head Lodge.
Come meet Martin –
the beer king of Red Mountain
A monarch that believes
in giving all his subjects
a fair & decent chance.
The Beers of Our Lives
This is our current Top 12 at the Rams Head Lodge – but the list is a definite shapeshifter, we never know our Number 1 from our Number 12.
It usually depends on as many variables as there is beer itself – and the craving of the moment, whatever that may be.
So, when & if you decide you’d like to try any of these beers, there is no right or wrong way to go about it.
It’s all a case of delicious – or, more frequently than we’d like, not-so-delicious – trial & error.
To the bar!
1. Chimay Red
2. Elysian Avatar Jasmine
3. Back Hand of God Stout – Crannog Brewery
6. Fat Tire Amber Ale
7. Leffe Brune
9. Sierra Nevada
10. Total Domination IPA
11. Trappatistes Rochefort 10
12. Tusker Lager
So all in all, a big cheers for every sip you take, every trip you nake – after all, no matter where you go or who you do it with – you can never have enough good beers.
Just ask these other Vikings…
